Call For Papers

Guidelines for submission:

Abstract submission is free
-
For video submissions, in addition to the abstract, a video should be uploaded following these guidelines:

The video should be in mp4 video format of at least 800 x 600 pixel resolution
-
The video should be a maximum of 5 minutes in duration
-
The video should be labelled in the following way: <FAMILY NAME> – <ABBREVIATED TITLE> (for instance, if Dr Wong submits a video titled laparoscopic total pelvic exenteration, it might be entitled “Wong – Lap pelvic exent.mp4”

The final presentation should not differ significantly from the content submitted for consideration of acceptance

Videos submitted for selection are encouraged to contain narration

Abstracts must be submitted in English, and the text limited to 250 words (excluding headings). The abstract should be structured to the following headings:

Introduction
-
Methodology
-
Results
-
Conclusion
-
-
Word count should be included at the bottom of the submitted abstract
-
An acknowledgement of the receipt of the abstract will be sent to the presenting author via email
-
Accepted presentations on the day of the symposium is contingent on successful registration of the presenting author
Selection of presentations
-
Abstracts selected for presentation will be based on the content and scientific merit of the submission

Notification of acceptance will be sent to the submitting author by 26 July 2019 (extend to 2 Aug 2019) via email

Instructions for presentation will be provided together with the notification
-
Submissions for oral presentation may be invited to present the abstract as a poster
-
Selections for all presentations by the committee are final
Withdrawal
-
If a submitting author wishes to withdraw an abstract, a written request must be made to the symposium secretariat at secretariat@sgclr2019.com. This should be no later than 12 July 2019
Competition:
Selected presentations will compete during the symposium and will be judged by a panel. Prizes will be awarded based on content and scientific merit. Winners will be announced at the end of the symposium where prizes will be awarded
